Service Description

This appointment is an initial intake consultation only. No life skills instruction is provided during this meeting. The purpose is to assess goals, developmental needs, independence skills, and program fit. There is no fee for this consultation. Sessions are individualized and may include supervised activities, companionship, life skills reinforcement, cognitive engagement, light routine assistance, structured recreation, and community-based outings when appropriate. Services are grounded in trauma-informed practice, developmental understanding, and respectful, dignity-centered care. For children and youth, support may focus on emotional regulation, social development, and structured play. For adults with cognitive challenges or seniors, sessions may emphasize routine stability, meaningful engagement, gentle redirection, and safe companionship. The goal is not only supervision, but continuity, safety, and positive engagement during the caregiver’s absence. Clear communication and consistency are priorities. Caregivers receive updates, and established routines are respected to promote comfort and stability for the individual receiving support. This appointment is an initial intake consultation only. No respite care is provided during this session. The purpose of this meeting is to review individual needs, discuss routines and safety considerations, clarify expectations, and determine whether ongoing respite support is an appropriate fit. There is no fee for this consultation. If we decide to move forward, regular respite sessions can then be scheduled based on availability and agreed-upon terms.


Cancellation Policy

Appointments (Tutoring, Respite, 1:1 Support) Cancellations and reschedules must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time. If you cancel or reschedule with less than 24 hours’ notice, a late cancellation fee may apply (up to 50% of the session rate) or the session may be counted as used if booked through a package or plan. No-Shows and Late Arrivals If you do not arrive or join the session within 15 minutes of the start time without contacting us, the appointment is considered a no-show and is non-refundable. If you arrive late, the session will still end at the scheduled time to respect the next booking. Full session fees still apply. Workshops / Classes (Life Skills Workshop) Class registrations are transferable but not refundable within 24 hours of the session start time. If you cannot attend, please notify us as early as possible. When space allows, we may be able to move your registration to a future session at our discretion. Online Sessions For online sessions, clients are responsible for having a stable internet connection and a working device. If a session is interrupted due to client-side technical issues, the session may not be extended. Provider Cancellations If we need to cancel due to illness, emergency, or unforeseen circumstances, you will be offered a full refund or the option to reschedule at the earliest available time. Emergency Exceptions We understand emergencies happen. One (1) waived late cancellation per client may be granted within a 6-month period at our discretion.
